Cultural sites
Genoa boasts an extraordinary historical heritage, including the UNESCO-listed Palazzi dei Rolli, Via Garibaldi, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, and the Palazzo Rosso Museum, all easily accessible on foot from Sole Rosso through the historic center, filled with squares and traditional shops. A short distance away is Piazza De Ferrari, the city's main square, famous for its fountain, the Teatro Carlo Felice, and its elegant 19th-century buildings. Near Piazza Dante is the Casa di Colombo, a reconstruction of the explorer's home, a much-visited landmark perfect for a stroll through the city center. For a convenient and panoramic experience, the "Genova City Tour" tourist train departs from the Aquarium, offering a guided tour through alleys, squares, and key attractions, ideal for families and visitors in transit.

Panoramic walk towards the Old Port and the Aquarium
Starting from Sole Rosso, you'll begin one of Genoa's most charming walks. In just a few minutes, you'll reach the Castelletto Spianata, which offers one of the most beautiful views of the city. From here, you can take the Castelletto-Piazza Portello elevator, a quick and scenic ride down to the city center. The route continues through the historic center, passing Via Garibaldi (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Palazzi dei Rolli, Piazza Portello, and the traditional shops lining the alleyways. After about a 15-minute walk, you'll reach the Porto Antico, Genoa's tourist hub, home to the Aquarium, the Bigo, the Città dei Bambini (Children's City), museums, waterfront restaurants, and pedestrian areas. This is an ideal itinerary for families, couples, and travelers who want to explore Genoa on foot, combining views, history, and the sea.

Food and wine tours
Genoa is a true paradise for foodies, offering delicacies such as focaccia, farinata, pesto, and seafood specialties. Among the must-visit restaurants is Modo 21, a typical trattoria located in Piazza Cavour, near the Aquarium, where you can savor traditional home-cooked dishes. We also recommend a stroll through the charming alleyways to discover authentic shops and local products, preferably in the late afternoon, when the atmosphere is livelier.
